Year 12 Outdoor Education

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: B. Smedley

In this course students will develop their planning and interpersonal skills across a range of outdoor pursuits such as sea kayaking, tramping, caving, environmental awareness, navigation, first aid, surfing and rock climbing. Students will plan and complete a week long expedition that could include activities such as white water rafting, mountaineering, skiing, kayaking and caving.


Contributions and Equipment

$300.00 voluntary donation for overnight stays but does not include food for any of the trips.
Students will require access to a BYOD device.

Recommended Prior Learning

Open entry. Students should have a reasonable level of fitness and will need to pass a confidence aquatic skills test at the start of the year. Students will also need to be prepared to participate in a range of water and land based activities.
