Course Description

Teacher in Charge: A. Sobran

Students will learn to communicate flexibly and effectively in French to express and justify their own ideas and opinions and support or challenge those of others. Students will build on their Year 11 learning, with the focus moving outwards from the students’ own world to wider societal issues. They will explore both sides of a topic.
By the end of the course, they will be able to explore the meaning of texts and respond critically to them. They will do this through the use and recognition of a range of language features, vocabulary and cultural knowledge.

Students will learn through:
• Film clips/Youtube
• Role plays/games
• Reading/Literature
• Examining Art and other cultural practices

The learning will happen in a variety of contexts, such as:

• Healthy lifestyles
• Technology and Media
• Young people and society
• The world of work
• The environment
