1PASS is for those who are mathematically curious and want to PASS at a high level.
Do you need to know why and hypothesize? Are you interested in chance and data? Or do you simply like to research and find out the connections and comparisons between different things? Ever wondered how to work out the probability of seeing whether something is even possible, or if it connects in some way to something else, for better or worse? This course is designed for the students who enjoy finding statistical outcomes and investigating the world of Probability.
This course can be combined with either 1CORE or 1GAPS. Please read their descriptors to determine your Pathway in Mathematics. Check with your Mathematics Teacher or a Careers Advisor for advice if you want to see if this course will suit your needs for a particular future pathway.
NCEA Levels 1-3 and UE require 10 Numeracy credits. We strongly recommended you take 2 semesters of Mathematics in Year 11 so you can achieve this.
