Visual texts, both on screen and the stage, have the power to transport you to another world; another time and place. In this course, students will learn how to see visual texts as being deliberately crafted. They will also learn how to find thematic links within, across, and beyond texts. Texts studied could span the centuries, ranging from Shakespearean times to the present day. By the end of this course, students will be well versed in film terminology, and will have structured their ideas in writing.
