This course focuses on a series of ill fated love affairs from Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology and history. You will learn through text, film and research looking at stories that explore the themes of love, revenge and murder. Couples we will study include, Marc Antony and Cleopatra, Jason and Medea, Hades and Persephone, Orpheus and Eurydice, Aeneas and Dido, Antigone and Haemon.
