• Pacific Islands as a tourism destination
• Australia as a tourism destination
• Describe and promote a NZ tourist destination.
• NZ as a Tourist Destination
Time management and Research Skills
How students will learn
Year 13 is a very student directed course. Students will choose which Unit Standards they wish to complete.
Students will complete Industry Manuals, conduct research, write itineraries, work independently, work as a group, and also have the opportunity to participate in a field trip.
What students will enjoy
Learning more about a variety of Tourist destinations in New Zealand as well as destinations around the world.
Seeing the Tourism Industry first hand through a three day field trip.
Guest Speakers from the Tourism Industry/Tertiary providers.
