Opportunities in the Health Sector are ever increasing. This programme provides an introduction to various pathways available to our students in this area. 12NHA will suit students seeking future employment in caring and health related fields.
Northtec, with their specialised health teaching staff and facilities, deliver this course. One day each week, students travel to Northtec for the course work. Time at school is used to keep up to date with work required for the NHA course and other school work.
It is expected that students will have access to approximately 20 credits. The details of these are still to be confirmed but will be updated as they come to hand.
The course content will include theory and practical components, including nursing simulation and field trips to industry. The aim is for students to have a better understanding of working in this industry and to take the first step in preparation for employment in the health sector.
