As the city of Whangarei grows we push our insects and birds out from their natural environment.

Whangarei Girls’ High School wants to encourage insects and birds back to the city by making environments for them to live in, at school.

You will design and make a home for insects or birds and locate it on the school grounds.

You will also have the opportunity to paint and decorate some of your homes, with a view to designing stencils for decoration that could be sold to the public (e.g Whangarei Bee Club Members).

Be part of bringing back nature to WGHS - in time we should see insects and birds thriving here and in our city.
