This course is broken into two parts: Skill Development and Inquiry Project.
The first part of the course is to introduce and build confidence when using a wide range of art-making media: Drawing, ink, water-colour and acrylic painting, etching, woodblock, mixed media and collage.
Students will then use these developed skills to create a range of works based on an inquiry of their own. A range of themes will be offered; from popular culture to nature, animals and landscape. Students will select their own subject matter, select their own artist model to use as inspiration and make works using their favourite art-making techniques.
