Course Description

Crime scene investigators (CSI) collect and examine evidence present at crime scenes.
Are you interested in investigating fact versus opinion, multiple points of view and perspectives?
Do you want to examine how individuals and groups promote social justice and human rights?

This course will explore real life contexts, current events and community connections.
It will develop students’ understanding of fairness and equity so they can grow and learn about the world.
Students will be engaged in moving from ideas to action, creating change and making a positive impact.
This course is designed to focus on the following 6 areas of deep learning; Critical thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, Citizenship, Character.

Possible contexts; Modern day slavery, human trafficking, anti-bullying, guns in schools, Gloriavale, fake news, ethical fashion, Trump policies and human rights.
