Interested in what makes a healthy versus unhealthy relationship? Students will learn the key interpersonal skills that form the foundation of healthy relationships with others. Some of these skills include types of behaviours, communication, power imbalances and personal safety. Students will also learn personal, interpersonal and societal strategies to promote positive sexuality (including contraception, sexual health services, positive communication and diversity).
This course relates closely to real life relationship issues that may arise and strategies for dealing with these.
This course will be a solid foundation to understanding the underlying concepts of Health Education in future years.
