Course Description

Content:
Students will follow a topic based course determined by their teacher and will explore the idea across a range of different texts drawn from a range of genres which may include: film, novel, short story, poetry, non-fiction, newspaper/magazine. The course will aim to enable students to make connections between literary texts and their own worlds.

Skills:
• Reading and processing information and thinking critically
• Writing
• Researching, writing and presenting an effective oral presentation
• Setting appropriate deadlines and working to complete tasks within set timeframes


This is a flexible course, designed to cater to the needs of the students. There is a range of Level 2 and Level 3 standards on offer; and students will be offered standards according to their University Entrance and Literacy needs.
