Course Description

This is a practical, hands-on course. Activities will include sea kayaking, tramping, adventure-based learning, climbing and caving. There will be a strong link to environmental impacts within all activities. Students will also be involved with developing safety management strategies in an outdoor activity context.

Contributions and Equipment

$250.00 voluntary donation to cover the use of the mini bus, additional instructors for Health and Safety requirements, as well as course materials. This includes payment for trips and camps but does not include food for any of the trips.
Note: If insufficient donations are received to make this course viable, alternative activities may be substituted or the course may need to be withdrawn

All specialist safety equipment will be provided for each activity.


Recommended Prior Learning

Open entry. Students should have a reasonable level of fitness and will need to pass a confidence aquatic skills test at the start of the course. Students will also need to be prepared to participate in a range of water and land based activities.
