Course Description

This course provides an opportunity to pursue a passion through developing and operating an innovative, sustainable business under the nationally recognised Young Enterprise Scheme where you will interact with the business community and mentors. Marketing concepts, consumer behaviour and total quality management are learnt in the real world context of your business.

Other information:

All students who complete the Young Enterprise Scheme will receive the YES micro-credential. The purpose of the micro-credential is to develop 21st century skills in New Zealand's rangatahi by providing an opportunity to set up and run a business in a real-world context.

There is an expectation that students will contribute to the capital of their own business. This may be through individual contribution, fund raising or selling supporters' shares. The objective is that the company earns enough money to pay back this investment plus a profit to each student.
