Course Description

This course is designed for students who are interested in using the Adobe Creative Suite for creating high quality, eye-catching, current design solutions. 

Initial focus will be on using the Design Process to develop ideas and to develop students' understanding of contemporary design when creating their own publication. Students will produce work using a theme reflecting their interests, hobbies, whānau etc... 

Image-making:

  • Photo-taking 
  • Illustration (drawing, painting, printing)

Use of Creative Suite: 

  • InDesign for multi-page book design.
  • Photoshop as a secondary programme for image-manipulation.

Students will use artist models to inform the development of their outcomes using the different programmes being taught.

This course is a taster for NCEA Level 2 and 3 Design.
