What will I learn?
This course provides the time and opportunity for students to learn and practise innovative thinking. Great businesses evolve from understanding what people need and developing workable solutions that their customers value. Business builder focuses in part on how to find and test ideas. Topics will include:
• Idea generation techniques
• Problem solving strategies
• Decision making approaches
Students will apply design thinking to develop creative solutions to consumer challenges and run “Google sprints" to practice the design thinking principles.
Students will then use the skills developed to plan and operate an innovative enterprise where they have the exciting opportunity to use their own student business to learn the tools for success in:
 business planning,
 production
 marketing.

This course develops a wide range of well valued qualities and competencies such as:
