Year 9 Art

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: M. White

Students will develop skills and confidence when using a wide range of media: pen, pencil, ink, charcoal, coloured pencil, water-colour and acrylic paint.

Students will develop research skills and draw from their own collected imagery, based on a whole class topic.

Students will use their favorite techniques and research subject matter to produce a quality finished outcome based on the work of an established artist. For their final work, students may complete this using collage and assemblage techniques.

Contributions and Equipment

All students need: pens, pencils, ruler, eraser, glue stick, highlighters, coloured pencils, scissors for all classes.
