Year 11 Science - Earth Science
This course will give you an understanding of the Earth’s structure and the spheres that allow the Earth to have life, looking at oceans, atmosphere, life, the ice caps and deserts. We will look at the impacts of Earth science events such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis and why these happen. New Zealand is a geologically unstable country and has a very active team of geologists working on the frontline of prediction and prevention of these events.
