Level 2 Academy - Toi Māori: Tupu Pūkare

Course Description

Ākonga will be able to explore the elements of maori design in a bilingual environment.  Ākonga will follow tikanga and work with a range of construction materials, such as wood, resin and other mediums, to complete Toi Māori projects. Students will complete courses in first aid and workplace health and safety. They will also get the opportunity to gain their learners licence.

This course will take two option lines, then you will be required to select 2REO/2MAOS/2HAKA in as your third option. Please note if you select 2MAOS or 2HAKA you will still be required to select a language rich subject such as 2REO/2ENG/2CLA/2HIS

  • Elements of Māori Art and design from a mātauranga māori perspective (traditions).
