Level 2 Creative Digital Technologies
Course Description
Students will have the opportunity to specialise in an area of digital technologies that interests them, including character design and game graphics, creating a game or visual novel, 3D modelling (game world or character), virtual reality, animation or a website.
The first part of the year will focus on identifying a project idea, generating design ideas, researching user considerations and conventions. Students will then develop their project, using evaluative processes of testing and improvement to reach a finished outcome.
For students who are keen on computer programming, an alternative set of standards is offered and students will have access to an online learning platform to help support and extend their learning.
Students will use digital tools such as the Adobe suite, Blender and Unity.
