Year 9 Performing Arts

Course Description

In this course students will create a short spoken/mimed and danced scene, inspired from stories and legends of Tai Tokerau/Northland, Aotearoa/New Zealand. This course will further develop students' collaborative skills, and the skills to overcome challenges as they create their own choreography, script and music accompaniment for an audience. There will also be the opportunity for students to design a performance ‘technology’. i.e. a piece of costume, make-up design, set design or prop design.
