|English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education and Health and 21st Century Skills are all included in the SWITCH programme. |Students stay in the SWITCH classroom spaces for the integrated core learning.They are in different classes for their option subjects. |Students will do most of their learning in the context of real life projects, with a focus on developing the 21st century skills of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity and digital literacy and on developing a growth mindset. A key focus is on implementing their ideas back into the community. Each student has a learning coach who helps them with time management and provides timely feedback and feedforward to students and their whānau about the learning journey.||In each of the core classes students will be taught to think critically, work collaboratively and develop their creativity, communication skills and digital literacy. They will work individually, in groups and as a class. Students will learn a wide range of content across these subjects and make links to the community. Students will be encouraged to be active participants in their learning. Teachers provide timely feedback and feedforward to students and their whānau about their learning journey.|
We aim to provide student centred learning environments for all classes, where students are taught by specialist teachers who differentiate the learning to meet the needs of individual students.
Google Classroom is used throughout the school, giving students access to their learning during and outside the timetabled class.
