Teacher in Charge:
Students select integrated core on the enrolment form.
Students will do most of their learning in the context of real life projects, with a focus on developing the 21st century skills of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity and digital literacy. A key focus is on implementing their ideas back into the community.
English, Health, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education and 21st Century Skills are all included in class and project work.
Students stay in the SWITCH classroom spaces for the integrated core learning and go to option classes for options.
Students will have specialist teachers who help them to work collaboratively and to challenge themselves to develop and demonstrate a growth mindset. Each student has a learning coach who helps them with time management and provides timely feedback and feedforward about their learning journey.
Students select traditional core on the enrolment form.
Students will be placed in a core class. The students will be taught using a blended learning approach where the learning tasks will be a mix of online- Google Classroom and classroom based activities.
Students will move between classes each period. Each period is 60 minutes long.
Students will have teachers who are subject specialists. Each teacher will support the student with their learning in each class, and will give timely feedforward and feedback.
