Year 11 Duke of Edinburgh (Silver)

This course will guide students through the internationally recognised Duke of Edinburgh Award (Silver). This will include an expedition component, community service, physical and skill based learning programmes.
Contributions and Equipment
$250.00 voluntary donation to cover the use of the mini bus, additional instructors for Health and Safety requirements, course materials and all registration fees payable to the Duke of Edinburgh programme. This includes payment for trips and camps for the expedition component but does not include food.
Note: If insufficient donations are received to make this course viable, alternative activities may be substituted or the course may need to be withdrawn

Recommended Prior Learning
Students must have completed the Duke of Edinburgh's Bronze Award to select this option. Students should have a reasonable level of fitness. Students will also need to be prepared to participate in a range activities in their own time such as volunteering, participating in a sports team and learning a new skill.
