Course Description

‘Totes lyrically’ Students will work in a design team to create a collection of unique tote bags, inspired by the lyrics of the songs they love. This course is all about design, development and production as part of a collaborative team. Students will explore sustainable options during the design process while developing a creative and innovative design solution using appropriate technologies.

Creativity - Students create innovative design ideas/solutions.	Use technology equipment and facilities.
Collaboration - students will be given opportunities to work together.	Product design, looking at homeware, wearables, clothing etc.
Using Information - During the course students will work through the design process and carry out detailed research and experimentation with fabrics and construction methods in order to make decisions about their final outcome.	Production processes - exploring costing, materials and wastage, marketing and promotion.
Technology use - students will be able to use technology and equipment, understanding the tools, components and processes.

Resources Required

All students need: pens, pencils, ruler, eraser, glue stick, highlighters, coloured pencils, scissors for all classes.
A4 Clearfile.
Final product $10.00 (optional)
Students are provided with all materials needed for this project, however they may bring in extra materials if they choose to.
